Scott SUB 30

I got the Scott SUB 30 in the Spring of 2012 for about $500 from the good people at Second Ascent in Ballard.  They have a great bike shop--unlike so many other places, I never feel like they're looking down on me.  They understand that I'm not an enthusiast, that I don't work on bikes as a hobby.  They treat me well and support my commuting endeavors.

Anyway, I asked them to give me the seat, pedals, rack, fenders, and wheels off the old bike, so that knocked down the price a bit and changed the appearance from the original as pictured below...  I might still have the receipt--I'll dig around a bit.

The bike is solid and quick, I have no complaints about it.

Purchased in March 2012, free 90-day tune in June.

January 2013: my cassette starts slipping.  I take it in and drop $230 on a full tune, new cassette, new chain, and new rear brake pads.
